Zurich, Switzerland

We traveled from Paris to Zürich, Switzerland on a high-speed train at 305 km/h. That converts to 190 mph. It took us four hours to make the trip across France and into Switzerland. In all likelihood, we traveled faster by train then we would have if we made the same journey by air with all its attendant delays.

We are off on the first organized tour of our lives. Forty people have gathered in Zürich to spend a week together visiting the major scenic locations in Switzerland. The people come from 8 different countries including Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada and the United States. Our tour guide, Marco,  is a young Italian who has been guiding the tour for 7 years. He is helpful, well organized and humorous.
