Headed for Paris via Munich

After getting off the boat, we traveled by train to Munich Germany. Here we had a six hour wait for our train to Paris. in order to pass the time, we hopped aboard a tour bus and saw the major sites in Munich among which was the 1972 Olympic Games site and the BMW factory.

Our trip from Munich to Paris happened via a sleeper car that had very little room for baggage but was reasonably quiet and we were able to sleep through most of the night. Upon arrival in Paris we checked into a motel near the Charles DeGaulle Airport. After a nights rest and essentially a ‘down day’ in Paris, we rented a car to journey south to Orléans.

We will return to Paris for a week later in the trip.
